Adam Higson - Owner and Head Trainer

Adam "The Road Warrior" Higson is the owner and head trainer at the Phoenix Fight Club. Higson knows a thing or two about Thai Boxing, having won several international tournaments across multiple disciplines and weight classes.

Adam Higson - Owner and head trainer A born and bred Hamiltonian, Higson has spent the last 20 years learning the many skills and disciplines needed to become a multiple champion and a qualified instructor. He has trained with several world champions and instructors including Clifton Brown, Garth Redwood, Paul Biafore, Rob Kaman and Suchart Yodkeripauprai.

Higson has also been competing for the last 15 years, fighting in countries all over the world. In July 2007, Higson traveled to Japan to take on the reigning Japanese Champion Kenichi Ogata in a bout of shoot boxing. Not only did Higson beat Ogata in a unanimous decision, but he also made such an impact that he has been invited back to Japan for a second bout.

At 32, Higson has begun to focus less on competing and more on training his fighters to compete. Since opening the Phoenix Fight Club in 2005, Higson has taken on a number of students that have competed at multiple levels. He has even trained a member of Team Canada for the International Federation of Muaythai Amateur World Championships. With his years of competitive and instructional experience, Higson is looking forward to passing on his knowledge to a new generation of fighters.
